Applying for IAS sponsorship
IAS members who are organising a sedimentological event or other activity can apply for sponsorship of up to 2,000 Euro by logging in to their member portal and selecting from the Applications menu on the left hand side of the screen. Please read the guidelines before submitting an application.
Strong preference is given to initiatives that have a clear international remit or prominently facilitate international participation. New formats, locations and topics will be viewed favourably and are more likely to be supported than repeat iterations of meetings that have been supported several times in the past.
Support for individual meetings (conferences, short courses, field workshops etc.) is usually via student travel grants. Other initiatives may be sponsored for up to 1 year in the first instance.
Please note that applications must be submitted at least six months before the meeting registration deadline or need of funding.
Proposed meetings should not clash with the Annual IAS conferences (International Meetings of Sedimentology and International Sedimentological Congress).
