The third Core Logging School (COLOS) will take place from 13-17 September 2026 at the Core and Geological Samples Archive of the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute (PIG-PIB) in Leszcze, Poland. Full details are on the event website and on the attached poster.
COLOS provides exposure to the theoretical background and practical skills of sedimentological borehole core logging. The COLOS Programme integrates theory, examples of applications and practical exercises and includes one day of theoretical classes and three days of practical training in the core repository.
The registration deadline is 31 May 2026. IAS travel grants are not available but the organisers are offering grants to students and early career researchers with a closing date of 24 May 2026. See the COLOS website for details.
