Call for IAS Award nominations

Do you know or work with a fantastic sedimentologist whose achievements deserve to be recognised and celebrated?

Every 2 - 4 years the IAS honours exceptionally talented sedimentologists at different carer stages through bestowing its prestigious medals and awards. We are currently requesting nominations for:

• The Sorby Medal - the highest award of the IAS
• The Johannes Walther Award
• The Sun Shu International Prize
• The Early Career Scientist Award

Awards will be announced at the International Sedimentological Congress in Wellington in January 2026.

Please do not delay - the deadline for nominations is 30 September 2025 but we would like to receive them before then in case additional information is required.
