Palaeoseagrass - Sedimentary Processes and Microfacies

A short course with laboratory sessions and field trip dedicated to understanding the seagrass carbonate factory, its composition and recognition, and its palaeoecological significance.

Topics will include seagrass as ecosystems, sedimentary processes, indirect Palaeoseagrass Indicators, seagrass and CO₂ balance in Earth history. The field trip will visit a modern seagrass meadow.
