It is 23 years since an IAS meeting was last held in the United Kingdom, and so I have great pleasure in inviting you, on behalf of the University of Manchester and the City of Manchester, to the United Kingdom in 2013!
We are very excited about the 2013 Meeting and hope you will enjoy the wide array of symposia, topical sessions, field trips, short courses, and social activities that we are planning for this meeting. Re energise and refresh while sampling the best of British beers and ciders at the Icebreaker, and join us at the home of Manchester United Football Club for the conference dinner.
Manchester is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city and we encourage you to experience the splendid range of cuisine, cultural experiences, geology and scenery that the city and region have to offer during your visit.
